How long does a typical job take?
Most residential projects take 2 to 4 days. A single bathroom or backsplash is quicker; whole-house takes longer. You get a written timeline on site.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Woodbridge Township, NJ and work across central New Jersey, including Middlesex and Union County, Newark and Jersey City, roughly 30 miles out. Not sure if you are in range? Just ask.
Are you insured?
Yes. Silcam Tile Installation LLC is fully insured on every project, residential and commercial. Proof of insurance is available on request, and we provide documentation for builders and property managers.
Do you waterproof before tiling?
Yes. Every shower gets a waterproofing membrane over the board, into the corners and up the curb, and it is checked before a single tile goes on.
Do you supply the tile, or do I?
Either works. Plenty of clients pick their own tile and we install it; others want help choosing. We'll tell you honestly which materials hold up in your specific room. Heat, moisture, and traffic all change the answer, and we would rather you know before you buy.
How does the on-site visit work?
We come to you, measure, look at your substrate, and give you a clear written price with no hidden fees. We confirm how the visit works when you book, and there is no obligation to hire us.
Do you work with builders and GCs?
That's how Silcam started. Leandro was the go-to tile crew for top New Jersey builders and general contractors for over 15 years, and we still take multi-unit and new-construction work. Ask about crew availability for your schedule.
Do you handle demo and removal of old tile?
Yes. We handle demolition, haul-away, and substrate repair as part of the scope, so you're not coordinating a second trade. It's itemized in your estimate so you see exactly what it costs.
